If you're trying to say that intermarriage doesn't threaten Native American culture, you're wrong. Languages and other traditions are rapidly dying out, and for a great number of tribes, their genetic "Indian-ness" is miniscule. If you don't have your language, traditions, or significant genetic heritage, what makes you an Indian? This is a difficult time for many tribes, the result of our modern society.

Quantum computing isn't that useful. As a rule of thumb you basically need to be able to test the result of the computation (the testing is done using traditional methods). For example you can test factorisation of numbers. It means things like breaking encryption are done better but it won't speed up many tasks. You also can't use tricks that speed up the algorithms, you basically have to process all the answers.

Regardless of what the effects are, we are in fact putting abnormal amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere, thereby engineering the planet by our actions ... if unintentionally. There is no debate about that. So what is the problem with attempting to address the issue by removing it? Certainly some of the more outlandish geo-engineering concepts like pumping sulphur into the sky and fertilizing the oceans are out of the question (as was agreed on by the folks in the article), but more reasonable concepts like artificial trees should be much more acceptable, right? At least until carbon emissions are leveled off worldwide.The problem with your logic is that nothing can ever be 100% certain with zero room for uncertainty. You're essentially saying that we should sit on our asses whilst apocalypse happens.
