I'm sorry, but there are plenty of people who have been affected by war, unemployment and are concerned about their future who are not out there going on shooting rampages. This is the kind of "the end is near" ***** that people have been screaming for centuries as an excuse to push their agenda. When it comes to people like this guy and the incident at Fort Hood, these are people who are flat-out psychopaths. You can come up with any excuse you want - religion, jobs, their dog told them to do it, etc. - but whatever that is, it's merely the switch to the crazy bulb in their brain.
There's no need for "serious movement" for something that probably doesn't exist.On the other hand, some of the technologies proposed are pretty nifty. This particular article is little more than a summary, but I've seen proposals for shields in space that can be used to block sunlight a couple of percent. THAT is a neat idea, if only because it forces a space support infrastructure--which most Diggers are probably for. I'd gladly see things like that explored and implemented.

@HetmanI'm not talking about "they". I'm talking about Lucas123 stating his beliefs. He's not trying to push his beliefs on anyone through policy or any other means. He isn't THEY. He is he, and he isn't pushing his beliefs on anyone.It's not fair to take your anger out on him. He did nothing wrong. Let him believe what he wants in peace. It's not hurting you. If he were trying to attack you or push his beliefs it would be a different story, but he's not. Get what I'm saying? |
