I think the real problem is that it's escapism at its finest at a cheaper price and easier availability than most other activities. It'll be the top-selling thing in that department until we have readily available jacks that plug into our brain's pleasure center and stimulate it. Funny how classic sci-fi is probably not too wrong about that one after all.
