"If a client claims it shot a guy but all the others think it missed then they vote."It's extremely difficult to get multiple clients, all with greatly variable levels of latency, to even agree on what the time is at even given moment, much more so to get them to agree on the vector of a bullet fired at a given time in relation to the vector of a moving player. That's 3 variables (bullet vector, player vector, and time) to agree on. In fact, it's so difficult that to my knowledge, no p2p game tries to do it, and instead simply relies on the client to make legitimate claims about what happened in the game world. As I said this works OK for consoles, because you can't really hack a console game.Relying on client data for PC gaming is a recipe for disaster
