Not as humorous perhaps, but there are a couple of different things that can happen. When you are conscious you tend to perceive any 'random misfire' as stray thoughts, or even a bit of noise that is in the environment. I would honestly put the blame both on MS and the hardware manufacturers for Vista. MS with their certified for Vista BS that pushed out computers that could barely run XP with Vista loaded on them. The hardware manufacturers should have had access to at least beta builds to develop drivers, and even after the OS came out, they still dragged their feet in releasing drivers.
