“People seem to forget how much the US economy still drives the world economy (which is odd, given that the US economy's nosedive just last year tanked the world economy). Countries like China and India have a huge stake in keeping the dollar strong enough that their imports remain cheap. A weak dollar will just make it cheaper for America to manufacture stuff at home...which is good for US jobs, but it means everything will cost more.

I laugh at you close minded morons who work for the entertainment industry who only think this is about people downloading ignore the fact that this could and will destroy most user driven content sites like youtube,facebook so on. It also about peoples rights. Its one thing to have a dmca takedown notice which is fine in my book but leaving it up to a individual rights holder to file a complaint is *****. Its stuff like this that makes people hate you and makes them not want to support you.

Just in case you guys forgot, the last time one of Roland Emmerich's movies got adapted for television, it spawned a show that produced over 200 episodes and 2 spin-off series... anyone remember what it was called? Well it was Stargate!His movies may be pretty average, but they always have this huge scope filled with potential. I can a potential in a TV series if they remove all the ***** cliches that tend to crap up his movies :P |
