I get the whole argument - "It's so incredibly expensive to switch to the new ways" blah blah blah. I have to ask just how expensive it's going to be by way of resources and human life to replace what is lost due to the increased number, scope and intensity of global environmental catastrophes? To me, even one human life lost to human-induced global environmental changes is too many - and that one life has already been lost many times over. How many additional lives will have to be lost before the cost of continuing in the old ways is simply too great for others?How many tragedies like the hurricane devastation of New Orleans will it take for the so-called expense to be worth it? As I see it, the huge costs of switching the power sources driving human culture now is a very small price to pay.One thing is certain, if this generation doesn't take action, this generation and those that preceded it will be despised by the generations to come in the same way and for many of the same reasons we despise some who have come before us.

The sequel to Miner 2049er (Bounty Bob Strikes Back), is simply classic. Well, let's look at your "reasoning" issue by issue, shall we>?1) Yes, Bush was not a very good diplomat. NO, that is not the reason why we have problems with the muslim world, we have had issues with radical islamists for a long time. This week is the 30th anniversary of the beginning of the Iranian hostage crisis. Without getting into dozens of other examples, that's simply a look at how little you seem to know about history.2) There was a memo, not issued by the Clinton administration, but issued by the CIA a few weeks before 9/11 that said terrorists may be interested in using planes as bombs. But they didn't know where or when, what was he supposed to do? Ground all planes indefinitely? That would have been asinine and caused a giant panic. Remember these guys only had boxcutters and it was the first real example of hijackers killing passengers on a mass scale, so it probably would have just delayed the inevitable, anyway.3) Anybody that considers attacking the United States know there will be retaliation. Anyone who has ever studied our military history in the slightest knows that we will apply swift and overwhelming force towards anyone who has attacked us.4) The shooter at Fort Hood was not being sent overseas to "kill his brethren." He is from Virginia, and he is a god damned psychotherapist, not a soldier. He certainly didn't seem to have any issue with shooting people, so I doubt he is much of a pacifist anyway. In conclusion, I must ask, do you know anything about ANYTHING?Look, your heart seems to be in the right place, but I would encourage you to stop debating people about politics until you get some kind of education, you're making those of us who are liberals and intelligent look bad by association.
