| You fools who think this is a Democrat or Republican issue are slitting your own economic throats. This is class warfare. The wealthy are shipping jobs to places where labor is dirt cheap, environmental standards are almost non-existent, and principles like freedom are payed lip service to. You people are so caught up in ideological partisan bickering that you can't see the real threat to your futures right in front of you.Maybe instead of standing up to your fellow American over issues that ultimately don't effect you personally or economically, like gay marriage and the war on drugs, abortion, and twisted interpretations of the word "socialism"; you might actually stand up to corrupt politicians and multinational corporations that are selling your futures for pennies on the dollar. All these other issues are window dressing compared to the economic issues at hand.Some of you people seem too ignorant to understand that America will never fully recover from this depression. These jobs won't come back. This isn't a normal business cycle now that the labor market is officially global in scale. There are winning countries and losing countries. Better do something NOW to hold onto the jobs that are still clinging to this country, your apathy is destroying your future. |

I tried to give them crap once. If it's open how can it be new? And how the hell can you sell an open copy for the same price as an unopened one? I realize I was only kicking a man when he's down (he's working at Gamestop after all) but it made me feel a bit better at least..
The modern impact of slavery IS modern racism, sir. It's not a comparison to and it's certainly not a dismisal. My anseters WERE slaves and I will never know my past beyond that of a slave ship. This isn't abstract for me, this is my life, the life of my parents and there parents before them. How dare you lecture me because of a two word preface when you admit that my objections are sound. My intent is crystal clear and you can cover your eyes all you want, we both know that's not going to change. Both rhetorically and as a matter of taste, you are the ignorant one here. Further, why all this towards me and not toward the lead post who very clearly dismissed both reparations and slavery in exactly the way you seem to be against?!

If Europe's population is declining to more sustainable levels, perhaps that's a model that the whole world should be following for the sake of our continued existence as a species.Of course, to understand the concept of overpopulation, you'd have to be willing to listen to scientific opinions and analysis.
